Since moving to the Algarve in Portugal from the UK a few years ago, I have been working in acrylic on canvas. Colour is my chief motivation, influenced by the region's wonderful light.
I am repeatedly drawn to water both artistically and geographically, which I interpret in a loose, impressionistic style.
After a professional business career of 31 years and attaining a degree in "History of Art" from the University of Kingston, I have resumed my creative journey as an artist who is passionate about painting.
I began exhibiting in the UK in 2004 and in Portugal since 2007.
